I recorded a second one with only 50 songs, and the final songs on that one did not appear to skip. However, the final 10 songs on the 116 song mp3 skipped when played - so my guess is that I really need to limit the mp3 cds to much less than capacity. The whole burn process took about 3 times longer than previous attempts, which is interesting.
Fantastic suggestion, and I think that may have done the trick!!!! I was able to burn 2 mp3 cds that did not have any songs cut (at least not obviously). I tried your suggestion of forcing the conversion and constant bit rate.
